Eva G. Mihovich has been a painter in the Sumi-E
tradition (Asian Brush Painting) for over 16 years.
She is a founder and past president of the Metro New
York Chapter of the Sumi vE Society of America and has
exhibited widely.

Besides exhibiting at the annual Sumi-E Exhibitions,
she has continued to give demonstrations and lectures
on this ancient and spiritual art from. For over ten
years she gave demonstrations at the annual Sakura
Matsuri Festival (Cherry Blossom Festival) at the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden in conjunction with the annual
exhibition of the Metro Chapter of the Sumi-E Society.

She is part of the Brushmeisters of Brooklyn, a group
of three Brooklyn artists, all of whom at one time or
another in their careers have studied this ancient art
form.

Dr. Mihovich is in numerous Private collections, the
Brooklyn Botanic Garden and the New York Open Center.

She is an active member of the Sumi-E Society of
America Inc., and The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists
Coalition.
